Tramway system Odessa

Beside an impressive tramway system Odessa operates as well a huge trolleybus network dating back to 1941. Most services done today with ZIU`s but there are some articulated trolleybuses as well as new low floor trolleybuses - all together about 170 cars - in service on 12 lines. While the tramway serves mostly suburban areas, trolleybuses opereate in and near city center.

At the common terminus of lines 9, 10 and 13 meet (from left) 2022 on line 9, 2040 on line 10 and 639 on line 13.


ZIU 689 near the most southern terminal of the network – served by line 11.


After general overhaul ZIU 615 presents itself in splendid condition at the terminal of line 3.

At the city terminus of lines 2 and 3 one can make an interchange from door to door. Trolsa 3009 is arriving at it`s terminus - while 3005 even on line 2 is waiting for the departure time, standing door to door is ZIU 658 on line 3.
