Because of Pro Obus - the society for keeping historic trolleybuses - has to
leave Salzburg AG property at least in September 2021, on 15.August 2021
there was a day`s long farewell tour covering typical routes opereatet by
the typical 42 trolleybuses of Gräf& Stift/Kiepe type GE 110 being in
service between 1976 and 2002. Trolleybus 178 (Gräf& Stift/Kiepe; 1985) was
the last of this type - even built similar for Linz and MVG Kapfenberg -
becoming the first Salzburg historic trolleybus in 2002 when Pro Obus was
foundet. Since 2003 it was used sucessfull for tourist services as well as
all forms of extra service but even when needed for regular duty. After
almost 20 years it is now locked away in a stable near the city of Salzburg,
waiting for better times.
