Trolleybusses in Saporoschje

The city of Saporoschje on the river Dnepr - about halfway between Kiew and the Black See - operates a mixed tramway and trolleybus system. The city is famous for it`s huge power plant - which dam is used by 4 trolleybus lines too, as well as for it´s steel industrie.
In 2011 there were 12 trolleybus lines in operation - needing about 160 trolleybuses working from two depots. There are only few articulated trolleybuses in service - but remarkable the modernisation of the fleet by LAZ low floor trolleybuses.

There are 10 trolleybuses of T 2 type on this system - here 038 (the last built in 2004) on line 3 on the west bank of river Dnepr
